The molecular formula of benzoyl peroxide is C14H10O4,  The Chinese name is full of benzoyl peroxide, white or pale yellow fine, slightly bitter almond odor. It is a strong oxidant and is extremely unstable and easy to burn. It can explode when hit, heated, and rubbed. Burning occurs when sulfuric acid is added. Main uses: the initiator of synthetic resin. Flour, grease, wax bleach, cosmetic additives, rubber vulcanizer. 

Benzoyl peroxide is a keratolytic agent. It has the effects of killing Propionibacterium acnes, dissolving acne and astringent. It can effectively inhibit Propionibacterium acnes by releasing active oxygen, thereby preventing Propionibacterium acnes from decomposing triglycerides in the cortex. , Reduce free fatty acids on the skin surface. It is currently mainly used to treat acne vulgaris

Used as analytical reagent, oxidant, bleaching agent and plastic polymerization initiator
