Pyrethroid pesticides. Bifenthrin is a pyrethroid insecticidal and acaricidal agent, which has the functions of touch and stomach toxicity, without internal aspiration or fumigation, and has a wide insecticidal spectrum and rapid action. It does not move in the soil, is safer for the environment, and has a long residual effect. Bifenthrin can be processed into emulsifiable oil, wettable powder, suspension agent and other forms of use, mainly used in cotton, tea trees, fruit trees, vegetables, cereals and other crops, to control aphids, cotton bollworm, cotton red bollworm, tea inchworm, tea caterpillar, tea green leafhopper, fruit tree food worm, citrus leaf miner moth, cabbage worm, cabbage moth and so on. It can also treat mites, because the effect is unstable, easy to produce resistance, not used as a special acaricide.

Mode of action	Contact and stomach action.
Uses	Effective against a broad range of foliar pests, including Coleoptera, Diptera, Heteroptera, Homoptera, Lepidoptera and Orthoptera; it also controls some species of Acarina. Crops include cereals, citrus, cotton, fruit, grapes, ornamentals and vegetables. Rates range from 5 g/ha against Aphididae in cereals to 45 g/ha against Aphididae and Lepidoptera in top fruit.
Compatibility	Not compatible with alkaline materials.

Biochemistry	Insecticide which acts as a blocker of the GABA-regulated chloride channel. Insects resistant or tolerant to pyrethroid, cyclodiene, organophosphorus and/or carbamate insecticides are susceptible to fipronil.
Mode of action	Broad-spectrum insecticide, toxic by contact and ingestion. Limited xylem systemicity in some monocotyledonous crops. Can be used to control insects when applied as a soil or seed treatment. Good to excellent residual control following foliar application.
Uses	Control of multiple species of thrips on a broad range of crops by foliar, soil or seed treatment. Control of corn rootworms, wireworms and termites by soil treatment in maize. Control of boll weevils and plant bugs on cotton, diamond-back moths on crucifers, and colorado beetle on potatoes, by foliar application. Control of stem borers, leaf miners, planthoppers, leaf folders/rollers and weevils in rice. Foliar application rates range from 10-80 g/ha; soil treatment rates 100-200 g/ha.
