Use and synthesis of meperfluthrin
Intro:
Meperfluthrin is a light gray to light brown solid, melting point 72 ~ 75ºC, vapor pressure 686.2Pa (200ºC), specific gravity 12329g/ml, insoluble in water, dimethylformamide and other organic solvents. It is stable under acidic and neutral conditions, but hydrolyzes faster under alkaline conditions. It can be stably stored for two years at normal temperature.
Pyrethroid insecticides
Meperfluthrin is a pyrethroid insecticide, with high lipid solubility and hydrophobicity, which can promote the absorption and transfer rate of the agent in the biological body, so the agent has the characteristics of high efficacy, low toxicity and fast metabolism, according to the enterprise's test proved that the basic activity of meperfluthrin is more than 15 times that of rich D-trans-allenthrin. The mosquito-repellent products based on chlorofluron have slightly better knockdown activity than those based on meperfluthrin, and the comprehensive cost performance of tetrafluorothrin is more competitive.
Toxicity
Meperfluthrin is a low-toxicity pesticide with acute oral toxicity LD50>500mg/kg, acute percutaneous toxicity LD50>5000mg/kg, and acute percutaneous toxicity LC50 of 3160mg/m3. It has no irritation to the eyes and skin of rabbits and is weakly sensitized to the skin of guinea pigs.
Apply
Meperfluthrin is a chemical widely used in inhalation and contact insecticides, which has a very high knockdown and killing activity against mosquitoes, flies and other health pests, and the dosage is generally between 0.03 and 0.1%.
