Production method and use | |||||
Production method | Dicyandiamide process is obtained by the reaction of dicyandiamide with ammonia in methanol solvent at 200ºC. The process flow of dicyandiamide atmospheric boiling method is as follows: This method consumes dicyandiamide (98%) 1180kg and liquid ammonia 30kg per ton of product. Compared with this method, urea method has low cost and is widely used at present. Urea with ammonia as the carrier, silica gel as the catalyst, boiling reaction at 380-400ºC temperature, first decomposition to cyanic acid, and further condensation to produce melamine. The generated polyamine gas is cooled and captured to obtain a crude product, and then dissolved to remove impurities and recrystallize to obtain a finished product. Urea method for the production of melamine consumes about 3800kg of urea and 500kg of liquid ammonia per ton of products. | ||||
