Introduction
It was once used in large quantities as a tree dieback agent in the United States to blight some unwanted trees and shrubs.
Physical & chemical properties Colorless hygroscopic solid with a faint odor. Melting point 131 ºC, boiling point 160 ºC decomposition, the relative density of 1.77 (20 ºC). Solubility: Water 684 g/L(25 ºC), 2 300 g/L(30 ºC), the aqueous solution is weakly acidic; Moderately soluble in N, N-dimethylformamide, glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol. Non-flammable, stable at normal temperature and neutral conditions, hydrolyzed at higher temperatures and acidic conditions.
