Production method and use
Production method	It is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of 2-methylfuran. When a palladium chloride catalyst is used for catalytic hydrogenation, the main product is levulinol (see 00420), but 2-methyltetrahydrofuran can also be recovered as a by-product.
